By entering the Raffle, all participants agree that they have read and agreed with the terms and conditions of the draw which are detailed below:

General:

All participants must be over 18 years of age.

Tickets to the draw cost £2 each and can be bought individually, or in books of 5 (£10 value).

Online tickets are also available with the same face value and can be bought in options of up to 10 tickets, so a maximum spend of £20 in any one transaction. Online tickets will be completed for you randomly and will be forwarded to your postal address for safe keeping. To comply with PayPal rules on Gambling, this payment function has been disabled in our web store. You can still pay with your card online through our secure payment gateway.

Manual entry:

Each ticket should be clearly marked with your name and contact details on the stub counterfoil, especially to include a daytime contact phone number. You retain the main ticket and should keep this safe for verification in claiming any prize.

If you buy a book, please ensure all details are on every stub as they are separated before entering the draw. Each stub allows one entry.

Limited packs of tickets can be requested from our site for onward sale, (sponsor), but you will need to provide your name and address details so these can be booked out to you, together with a covering returns form.

It is your responsibility or that of any nominated 'sponsor' to return all stubs and any unsold tickets to the promoter in time for the draw. We are putting in reasonable safeguards to prevent fraud or lost tickets, so do please consider how best to return your submissions and payments to the Trust.

Do not enclose cash. Please write a cheque payable to 'Vulcan to the Sky Trust' and enclose with the ticket stubs and any unsold books. If you buy through a 'sponsor,' they have a letter of authority from ourselves should you wish to verify their position. They have a returns form which we will track to ensure all monies due will be honoured to benefit the charity. The return address is stated on the ticket and is:

Under the rules of our licence, tickets are restricted to UK residents only.

Tickets will also be available at various Vulcan to the Sky events and retailing locations up to the suggested return date of 31st March 2017.

Online Entry:

With a new remote gambling license approved by the Gambling Commission, the Trust can now allow the public to enter our raffles online. Strict controls exist to protect against under age entry, habitual or excessive gambling by use of this entry method.

Our online entry site will restrict the purchase of tickets to a maximum of 10 tickets (£20) in any one transaction.

Entrants must confirm that they are over 18 on entry and must provide a daytime contact number.

Random telephone calls will be made to verify any such entrants are eligible and that they did indeed request entry. Multiple requests will be monitored and any excessive applications will be referred to our promoter for reference under our social responsibility guidelines.

The entry point is located within our online store: www.vulcantotheskystore.co.uk linked from here and has clear details of the entry criteria. By entering, you agree that you qualify under the terms of entry and that you desire to be entered in the draw. Our systems will allocate the necessary draw tickets, enter them and forward on covering tickets for your records. Each online entrant has exactly the same chance of entry and reward as anyone entering by post or when tickets are bought in person.

Online entries close midnight Sunday 19th March 2017.

The main draw will be made in front of independent witnesses at Doncaster on Wednesday 12th April 2017.

Winners will be announced in our online newsletter on Friday 14th April 2017 and will be posted on our website www.vulcantothesky.org If you would like written notification of the winners, then please send a SAE to the above address with RAFFLE RESULTS printed in the top left corner.

Social Responsibility:

In order to be socially responsible and to deter organised or habitual gambling, the Trust will only issue a maximum of 5 books upon request to any one individual. Those who wish to receive more copies for distribution, must order via our 'sponsor pack' service to receive either 10 or a maximum of 20 books at any one time, together with a returns form for accurate tracking of tickets and sales. In this case, the individual takes responsibility for the security and selling of those books and will be required to return all counterfoils with the receipts together with all unsold books before another batch can be distributed. A letter of authority will show any purchaser that you are an authorised seller if you are asked for identity. Tickets should not be bought from anyone without this authorisation on behalf of the promotor.

Online entries are restricted to a £20 maximum at any one time. We reserve the right to refuse multiple applications by any method without explanation and the promoter’s decision will be final.

Tickets will be available for purchase within the hangar and at various events attended by The Vulcan to the Sky Trust throughout the winter of 2016 / spring 2017.

Sorry, but due to licencing laws, you cannot call and buy tickets over the phone, but you can request books to be sent to you for completion. In this case, you are limited to 5 books per address and you should call 01302 802077 during office hours to request these.

Prizes:

All prizes are as described on the promotional page of this web site. Winners will be notified by phone and in writing, with the winning names and ticket numbers being displayed on our website within 7 days of the draw taking place.

Flight prizes are subject to certain health, size and weight restrictions and the promoter and operator of such flights reserves the right to accept or decline any nominated person without reason. Any winner in such a case will be offered the opportunity to nominate an alternative suitable person to undertake the prize in their place. The usual criteria for suitability are good general health, no history of heart conditions, epilepsy etc... be less than 6 feet 2 inches in height and of a weight less than 16 stone. You might be asked for a doctors' statement to suit insurance requirements, the cost of which we are not liable for. A full safety briefing will be given where required.

All prizes will have an alternative in case of circumstances beyond the promoter’s control, but this will be discussed with each prize winner and mutually agreed should any situation arise due to weather or technical issues preventing the specified prize/s taking place in reasonable time.

There are no cash alternatives to the prizes offered.

Location and time of prizes:

First prize involves travelling to Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire during a weekday. A range of dates will be offered during the summer of 2017.

Second prize involves travelling to Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire during a weekday. A range of dates will be offered during the summer of 2017.

Third prize Lancaster Taxy Ride is located at East Kirkby in Lincolnshire. A series of dates will be offered during 2017 for the winner to choose the most convenient time.

Fourth prize you and a guest will be booked on the first available date at your convenience and will need to travel to the Titanic Spa which is near Huddersfield.

Fifth prize will be a voucher to a track centre nearest to your location and will be valid for a period of at least 12 months.

Individual Prizes Conditions:

1st Prize: Day with ‘The Blades’ aerobatic team and a Flight in a Spitfire
With your guest in formation in an Extra 300 aircraft.

You will be met by a Trust representative and introduced to members of the 2Excel team at Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire. The day will include full hospitality and a range of entertainment including witnessing a flying display by ‘The Blades’ to close off a memorable day.

The winner has a guaranteed seat in a Spitfire with their guest a seat in an Extra 300 aerobatic aircraft. We will also include £150 to help cover any travel or accommodation expenses. The prize is for two people. Please note the health, size and weight restrictions mentioned elsewhere in these terms as there is limited access in both aircraft.

2nd Prize: A day with the Blades Aerobatic Display Team
Including a flight in an Extra 300

You and your guest will be met by a Trust representative and introduced to members of the 2Excel team at Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire. The day will include full hospitality and a range of entertainment including witnessing a flying display by ‘The Blades’ to close off a memorable day.
The winner has a guaranteed seat in an Extra 300, while your guest will enjoy all the other activities of the day and can watch the full briefing session.
We will also include £150 to help cover any travel or accommodation expenses. Please note the health, size and weight restrictions mentioned elsewhere in these terms as there is limited access in the aircraft.

3rd Prize: Taxy Ride in Lancaster ‘Just jane’ at East Kirkby
The winner and guest will need to travel to the East Kirkby in Lincolnshire where you will meet your guide for the day at this historic airfield. The prize winner will be entitled to a Taxy Ride in the Lancaster ‘Just Jane’ while your guest can watch and take part in all the other related activities available. We will also include £100 to help cover any travel or accommodation expenses.

4th Prize: Overnight stay and Spa day at the Titanic Spa for two people
Travel to the Titanic Spa Hotel near Huddersfield for a luxurious overnight stay with meal and treatment vouchers to the value of £150 included. You will be responsible for your own travel arrangements but we will make an allowance of £75 to help cover these expenses.

5th Prize: Annual Membership to the Imperial War Museum sites
The winner of this prize receives a full Annual Family Membership* (2 adults and up to 3 children under 16) that can be used across a range of attractions at the Imperial War Museum sites that include IWM London, IWM North (Manchester), IWM Duxford, the Churchill War Rooms and HMS Belfast.    *Restrictions might apply – See the IWM website for full details.

Eligibility:

All participants must be over 18 years of age and a UK resident or a holder of a UK issued passport when the tickets are purchased. Tickets must not be knowingly sold to anyone not meeting these criteria. Tickets may not be sold willingly outside of the mainland of the United Kingdom. Certain restrictions apply in Northern Ireland for the sale of physical tickets.

UK residency or proof of UK Citizenship may be requested. Winners may nominate relatives or friends to undertake the prize if applicable and agreed with us.

By entering you agree to limited photographic publicity in connection with the prize offered in the nature of promoting future raffles for the Trust. At all times your personal details will be protected, other than your name and general geographic home location to satisfy our legal obligations in announcing the winners in a clear and fair draw.

We do not use your details or that on any entry to pass to third parties, but from time to time, may use your data for other Trust information and promotional activities. In this case, you will have the option of being removed from our records if desired at any future point in time.

Proof of identity and age maybe requested if deemed necessary at any time in connection with the ticket sales or delivery of prizes.

Certain good health conditions apply with some of the prizes and proof of fitness in the form of a doctors’ statement might be requested to satisfy insurers from any participant that has certain medical needs or conditions due to general health or age. It is the prize winner’s responsibility to advise the Trust of this situation in advance.

Employees or appointed contractors of The Trust are not permitted to enter the draw.
